This was a personal project so that I could learn how to rig a face properly. This was an interesting endeavour to undertake and it was fun to work on a face and all the small tweak controls that give animators a lot of control to create different expressions to help create interesting and more believable performaces.

Features

This was my first time creating a facial rig of this calibre so I got to work with some new methods to create different controls for animators

Tweak Controls

These are small controls all over the face that are linked to curves which drives a live blendshape. Overall, there are 84 controls all over the face that tweak specific areas. These controls were made using Maya’s nHair system (follicles in particular) and attached to the faces of the geo.
